Established in 1997, the Yorkshire Order of Merit is a well-known annual golf series that showcases top amateur talent from across the region. Played as a series of 36-hole scratch events throughout the year, the Order of Merit provides an exciting and competitive platform for golfers. Open to all players with a CDH number, the series offers a fantastic opportunity to test skills against some of Yorkshire's finest golfers.

Points are awarded to players based on their finishing position within the top twenty of each event, as per the Yorkshire Order of Merit Points Table. These points accumulate over the course of the season, with the ultimate goal of winning the Order of Merit title. The season's top player is awarded the YOOM trophy and a £200 cheque, while the runner-up receives a cheque for £100.
